I'm 74 years old and financially secure - in other words I will pay for what I get and not wait. My sister took me to eyeglass world, Santee because my other glasses broke and I wanted something that day.
My exam was unremarkable. For the glasses I wanted they had them in stock. I've returned to the facility now 3 times. First they were off on the PD or Pupil Distance they fixed that after the obligatory five day wait - my eyes felt terrible.
After that I found that the glasses were too strong and my eyes still felt terrible. I went back for a re-exam and was told that the glasses were not in stock and would take 10 days to order.
I paid and have waited now one weekend and several days - the very thing I wanted to avoid. By the way - there is a hallway connecting the Optometrist with the showroom so I suspect but have not been told that the doctor and eyeglass world are entertwined.
