it is now 02/03/2024 and i still don't have my glasses. no one from eyeglass world has contacted me with update on when i will get them so i guess i am out 435.00.

have e-mailed their so called customer service and have not received a reply. anyone who reads this review should think very hard before doing business w/this company.

ordered one pair of glasses on 11/27/2023from eyeglass world in clearwater fl. rep told me glass would be ready friday 12/01/2023. it is now 01/04/2024 and i still to not have them. all i get when i inquire is "they are on back order", we don't know when they will be ready. i paid 435.00 for glasses i will probably never receive. if you need glasses find another vendor as this company is a scam operation.

Warning to customers

Eyeglass World took 2 1/2 months to make my glasses ready for pickup. I made two round trips for nothing because I was told my glasses were ready and arrived only to find they were defective. It took 2 1/2 months when my lenses were ready. I was told to drop my frames off at one location and then pick up my glasses at another location 30 minutes away in another town.

Cancellation 3 hours before appointment.

Made online booking last week for 12/6 at 12:50pm. Call received 3 hours before to cancel. Run N Store manager gave poor reason and when pressed as to the real reason, she stated that due to my "age" they would need more than the allotted ten minutes per customer to see me. She could not answer what about my age made the difference as on the website it states one hour per customer. No apologies or customer service approach was utilized by this manager. Now we understand why businesses fail as customers seek better service.

Well advertised store not same display

Failed mention when shop around eyeglasses 2 pairs for $78 nor mention getting eye exam that take 2-3 weeks lenses to be ordered now going to do lenses lost week ago, old glasses have bent frame held with pieces of scotch tape.this horrible experience could just replace lenses old glasses this very costly now spent well over $375.00 insurance didn't cover anything.

Cannot see with the new glasses they made me. They told me to go back to wearing my old glasses!

I contacted them over a dozen times about my in ability to see with these glasses. I waited patiently. Came back when they told me just to stop in but wouldn't let me be seen when I did drive all the way there time and again. I was treated rude by staff and lied to when asked to speak to the store manager. She was not. I have paid for another eye test to have written proof as a. Eye specialist in and evaluation told me the eye glasses needed to be remade. But he didn't write it down so I had to pay to get a new exam to get the documentation to take back to Eye Glass World now they are not returning my calls.

User's recommendation: Do not go there. They do not stand behind their product obviously. And then employees are rude and then Dr is incompetent. I couldn't read road signs or street signs. Kind of important

This is a bad place

my dad needed some new glass's after going to the eye dr, so we went to eyeglass world thinking it was a good place, well they aren't a good place not at all, first they gave my dad the wrong RX and told him it was right, we told her we wanted the money back for them he is not happy with them, she said no go back to your eye dr, then come back, he then had to go back to the eye dr, and pay $92.00, he had to pay $75.50 the first time he was there, we went back to eyeglass world for the 3rd time, told them we had to pay again and all she said was, "o.k" like it didn't mean anything to her that what she cost us more money, so he ordered them again, he still was not happy them she still would not give us the money back, she said my manager isn't here come back, we did this 3 time's so he had to take them, after three &;;;;;;;;; a half hours the broke the lens feel right out, so we went back for the 5th time, this time she asked him what did you do lay on them? no he didn't it just feel out, she said he was a problem and glued the lens in the frame and also glued the screw's now what happens when some thing go's wrong with them nobody will ever get them out they are glued, the smell is so bad from the glue it's been a week and he still can't use them because the smell of the glue is so bad, she gave him a case that i really think she took out of the trash it's ripped and peeling cheep little case that's to small for the glass's, all and all we are NOT happy with eyeglass world, they cost us a lot of money that they never gave back

it is now jan 25th 2021 and my dad has just giving up on the whole trying to got his money back thing because they are just not going to do it, the last time he want back he was told "see you in three month's" my dad said if i have any more problems i am coming back", she said "no make it three month's" so we are done going back to this place they are nothing but a rip off, he will never use this glass's, but we are done.

First time using this company and it will be the last! After spending $259 on glasses that weren't ready for a week, I get home and realize they had put the wrong prescription in them. I go back and have to wait another day for them to fix their mistake. 2 days later, the screw falls out of one of the arms. Back to the store for a 3rd time. Another hour of my life wasted while the incompetent customer service rep tried to find someone put the screw back in. 2 days later, the OTHER arm falls off! These glasses are cheap, flimsy and the customer service is the worst! Don't waste your money or you'll be wasting loads of time having to keep going back to get them fix!

After paying cash up front $658 for two pairs of glasses. I got my first pare of glass's two weeks later! I have to wait two more weeks they say for my second pare. So thirty days later when I was told to come pick up my second pair of glasses they say I'll get $125 back because of the mess-up on their part! They knew what was going on and could have had my cash ready. But instead they say it will take three more weeks to get your check sent to you in the mail. Trying to get hold of corporate? Well it's going on two hours and no pick up? I will never go back to this store again!!

Junk Glasses

Don't waste your money on the cheap glasses. They don't offer a scratch resistant coating and the glasses scratch very easy and I mean very easy. I owned and worn glasses for 40 years and never had glasses to scratch this easy. I'm very careful with all my glasses. I spent over $300.00 on 3 pairs of glasses. Worse glasses ever and a waste of money. Don't waste your money and I will never shop there again.

At 100 a pair likely there is a low grade scratch resist or AR coat with plastic lenses. Poly is the most scratch resistant plastic but poly would have probably cost you 150 or more a pair. My suggestion: ask exactly who manufactures the glasses that way you know what AR coat types they use Teflon was the only one I know that was actually recalled a boatload of times but was relatively cheap to use

I will NEVER EVER recommend anyone go here. It took me over 6 months to get three pairs OF GLASSES.

I started in August of 2019 and was finally able to pick up the correct prescription lenses in February of 2020. I had to go back numerous times because they did not get the prescriptions correct. They even had me go back to my optometrist to get an updated prescription and she was floored that my prescription hadn't changed but that they totally screwed up the eyesight lines in my progressive lenses over and over again. I originally got the warranty on all my glasses because I know I am hard on them.

Today Nov. 6th I dropped off a pair for new lens under the warranty and they told me that my warranty was only good for a year and that it had expired August 2020! What? I didn't even get the correct glasses until February 2020!

Solomon said they went above and beyond to make the glasses right for me and I told him that was because they kept F.....g up the prescription up, not because I changed my mind! He said he would give me a discount for new lenses at the cost of $245.

I didn't ever write this review because they did try to get things right over and over again, but now I'm pissed! NEVER AGAIN!!

Ignorant optometrist

I am a physician who takes care of COVID (+) patients DAILY since the pandemic. I went to their store located at 6463 N Decatur Rd. Las Vegas NV. on May 30,2020. My temperature was taken and I answered the questionnaire. I was refused service because I am exposed to COVID. There were about 2 dozen people inside the store some of them with their noses hanging out of their masks. There was one child with no mask. The doctor of optometry refused to see me and I was told to return in 2 weeks. I took my business somewhere else since now that I know how ignorant this doctor is. I can not trust my vision to him/her. So I hope all other healthcare workers will avoid this place if they do not want to be treated like dirt or if they wish their vision will be measured by a more educated optometrist.

Fix broken glasses

Understandably they are CLOSED with even limited hours or can have up to 10 customers! I have a 5 yr old granddaughter who broke her glasses. These glasses were purchased @ Eyeglass World a few months ago. I seriously think the gift of sight is ESSENTIAL! What do you all think? I certainly want EVERYONE to avoid UNNECESSARY shopping! I ended up going to Stanton Optical (1 of 3 stores open) since it was close to home. I'm quite disappointed that this happened because I've used your store for many years but I'm not so sure I'd go back since the company doesn't feel obligated to serve their customers in an emergency situation!

Fix broken glasses

I'm not pissed off. I understand with covet19. I just have glasses that got scratches on the lens and I have a warranty for a year. I just wanted to get them replaced before the year was up. I talk to a representative over a month ago and was told me whenever they reopen I can get it taking care of even if the time has passed. I'm wearing an old pair. Please contact me when you reopen so I can take care of this matter. Thank you Bruce Leser

Have been to eyeglass world at 2 location over the last year to get eyeglasses made.They have made 11 pair of glasses for me. Out of 11 pair I had 1 pair I could see out of. The frames fell apart.

Called customer service phone number to get a refund after having multiple pairs of glasses made. They told me they would not refund anything from last year even though they have only made 1 pair that I can see out of. those glasses fell apart after a month. Started out by telling they could order transitions lenses in a bifocal. paid for those then they told me they could not get them in a lined bifocal? They offered no line bifocal at no extra cost so I tried them. Could not see out of them and started having bad headaches. After a couple more pairs and no good results they checked my eyes again. Said the prescription was wrong and offered me trifocals instead. Tried numerous times to make them but the lines were too high in right eye. Got my money back and went to another eyeglass world. After a few tries at making a new pair they finally gave me a pair I could see out of. Although there wasnt enough room to see out of third lens. The frames fell apart and dropped onto concrete breaking a lens I was told was unbreakable. Another pair fell apart when tightening screw. Remade both and the lines were off on both. If I look in a mirror the left line just below my pupil, the right one is above my pupil on almost every pair they made. Went to a reputable doctor of optometry and they made me a pair that was right. have spent nearly $200 in gas to travel multiple times to 2 stores to get glasses I could see out of. Plus lost the money I spent to have them made. Seems ridiculous they won't give me a refund. When the last pair fell apart they would not fix them. All they did was take lenses out of broken pair and put them in the other pairs frames. so now I have one pair in pieces and another with lines so far off I can't see out of them. When asking for a refund they said they couldn't give a refund from a purchase from last year. i guess they'd rather waste my time, gas money and time away from work to make me more pairs that I can't see out of. I've been very patient with them Which is obvious by the number of times I've been back to the sores to make it right but a person can only take so much before they get mad about not getting what they are promised. My next alternative is to take them to court and file suit against them to get the money back I've wasted. Eyeglass world is a joke. Will never go back there and will tell anyone who is thinking of going there my experience with them so they don't waste there time and money.

I purchased 4 pairs of Eyeglasses in Stuart Floirida. I needed 3 glasses redone and purahased a very expensive pair of Versace glassed and wanted to wait for them to get my prescription .filled. I waited over an hour only to be told that only the Vesace could be done becaude they didn't have the other prescriipton's for the other glasses in stock. I wore the Versace's for 3 weeks and noticed the left lense was a littlr blurry. I mentioned it and they said it was exactly what my prescription was. When I finally got my other glasses, I was told that because they couldn't get the proper lenses for them that they took them to another eyeglass place in the area. Needless to say, the glasses I received were far better than the Versace as far as them being the proper prescription. I believe that they gave me the wrong lense for my left eye because they didn't have the proper one and didn't want me not to purchase the Versace's
